Abstract
A Total 58 Cases of Benign Bone & Cartilage tumors were seen and treated at our department during about 5 years period from May, 1973 to September, 1978. The Result was followed as
1. Most Common benign bone tumor was Osteochondroma (34.5%) and followed by Enchondroma (15.5%), Giant cel. tumor (10.3%) & fibrous dysplasia (8.6%).
2. The peak age incidence of Benign bone tumon was in the age of Second decade (50%) and 75.9% of the case was occured below the age of 30 years old.
3. Most Common Site of Benign Bone tumor was the Knee joint including the distal femur & proximal tibia, where occured in 27 Cases (47%).
4. The incidence of the pathologic fracture & Traffic accident was occured in 16 Cases (27.5%).
5. 4 Cases among the 38 Cases of Benign bone tumors (10.5%) recurred after operation: 2 Cases in 5 Cases of Giant cell tumor, 1 Cases in 13 Cases of Osteochondroma & 1 Cases in 3 Cases of Solitary bone cyst.
6. Giant celltumor were 6 Cases and to bedivided into pathologically, Grade I & II: 3 Cases and Grade 1l ; 2 Cases in the operative Case. 2 Case. recurrenae of Giant celltumor were occured after Currettage & Bone Graft in 3 Cases.
